I thrilled to be your librarian. This is my sixth year as Oakwood’s librarian.
Here's a little information about me: I grew up in Dallas, NC. I went to University of North Carolina at Charlotte and returned to Dallas to begin my teaching career. I have married for 16 years and we have a daughter who is 12 years old. I was a classroom teacher for almost 11 years. One of my favorite times during the day was during interactive read aloud. I loved interactive read aloud because it allowed me change my voice, act out the parts and simply read the story with the students. Now, I have the privilege of being Oakwood’s librarian. My goal for your child is for them to be able to use a library effectively and to love to read. I hope they grow in their appreciation for new books.
